Pituitary adenoma
A pituitary adenoma is a benign tumor that can occur in the pituitary gland. It is the most common type of brain tumor in adults, but it is rare in children.
The pituitary gland is located at the base of the brain, just below the optic nerves. The gland produces several hormones, including follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
