Brain Aneurysm

A brain aneurysm is a bulge in the wall of a blood vessel that feeds the brain. It can happen in any part of the brain, but it’s most common in the arteries that supply blood to the brain. When there is too much pressure on these arteries, they can rupture and burst, causing a hemorrhage. If this ruptures an artery that supplies blood to one side of your brain, it’s called a subarachnoid hemorrhage. If it bursts another artery that feeds oxygenated blood to your entire brain (called the ventricle), it’s called an intracerebral hemorrhage.

The symptoms of brain aneurysm may include:
Sudden headache
Sudden nausea
Sudden vomiting
Sudden weakness or numbness of face or arm

Diagnosis of brain Aneurysm

The first step in diagnosing a brain aneurysm is to determine if there is any abnormal blood flow in the patient’s brain. This can be done by taking a CT scan of the head and looking for signs of bleeding, swelling, or other abnormalities. The CT scan will also give us some more information about what type of aneurysm it is.

Treatment of brain Aneurysm

The most common treatment for brain aneurysm is surgery in which doctors remove the part of the brain that has aneurysms and replace it with healthy tissue.
Surgery can be performed in a number of ways. The most common types of surgery include:

– Endovascular stenting (EVS)
– Endovascular coil embolization (ECE)
– Surgical clipping/tamping
– Endovascular coil occlusion (EVAO)
– Endovascular coil stent grafting (ECSG)

Costs for the treatment of brain Aneurysm in Germany

The cost of brain aneurysm treatment varies depending on the location and type of treatment.
In Germany, brain aneurysm treatment costs can range from €27.000 to €37.000
